The Carrier Roller, also known as Top Roller or Upper Roller, is installed on the upper section of the track frame of crawler bulldozers.

For bulldozers such as Shantui SD16 and Komatsu D60/D65, the carrier roller supports the upper track chain, maintains correct chain alignment and reduces friction during travelling operations.

The carrier roller works together with track links, track rollers and sprocket systems to maintain smooth undercarriage operation.

A worn carrier roller may cause:
