Low-bed semi-trailer (commonly referred to as "lowboy"), is a special semi-trailer designed specifically for transporting heavy-duty and ultra-high large equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, road rollers and cranes. It adopts an ultra-low platform and concave beam/gooseneck structure, with low center of gravity, strong stability, and can legally transport ultra-high goods. The body is made of high-strength steel I-beams, with good torsion resistance and outstanding load-bearing capacity. The number of axles can be selected as needed, with a load capacity ranging from 20 to 100+ tons. Liangshan and Jining areas are the main producing areas in the country, widely used in engineering equipment and large machinery transfer scenarios.

Low-bed semi-trailer is a special model for engineering equipment transportation. Its core advantage lies in the ultra-low platform design, with the platform height of about 0.7–1.2 meters (commonly 850–950mm). It has a low center of gravity and stable driving, which can not only meet the needs of ultra-high goods transportation, but also facilitate large equipment such as excavators to get on and off the platform by themselves without additional loading and unloading equipment.
The body adopts a concave beam/gooseneck structure, with the front gooseneck connected to the tractor, the middle section as the low flat platform, and the rear section as the axle layout. The structure is reasonable and the force is uniform; the frame is made of high-strength steel I-beams, with strong rigidity and excellent torsion resistance, which can bear heavy load pressure, not easy to deform, and ensure long-term stable use.
The axle configuration is flexible, including 2-axle, 3-axle, three-line six-axle and other specifications, corresponding to different load requirements: 2-axle load is about 20–30 tons, 3-axle (three-bridge) load is 30–40 tons (most commonly used), and three-line six-axle load is 60–100 tons (for heavy-duty scenarios). The mainstream width is 3m (maximum national standard), and 2.8m is also available. The length covers 9.5m, 10.5m, 11m, 12m, 13m, 13.75m and other mainstream announcement specifications, complying with highway transportation standards and can legally run on highways and long distances.
As the core model for engineering equipment transfer, it has strong adaptability and can transport various large construction machinery and heavy equipment. As the main producing areas in the country, Liangshan and Jining have mature model technology and high cost performance, meeting the equipment transfer needs of various projects, mines and construction sites.
