This Radiator 253401489​ is a heat exchanger assembly in the cooling system of XCMG loaders, associated with drawing number XGSX01-127-SX. The temperature characteristics of a loader's cooling system directly affect the machine's power, economy, reliability, and emission compliance; the radiator structure and layout are key factors in cooling performance. XCMG's Construction Machinery Division once collaborated with XCMG Research Institute to conduct wind-tunnel tests on the hydraulic-oil cooler core, transmission-oil cooler core, and water-tank core of the XGSX01-77K radiator​ used on a 5-ton-class loader

A radiator (also called water tank) is the core heat-exchanger component of a diesel engine's forced-circulation cooling system, responsible for dissipating the heat absorbed by the coolant from the engine into the atmosphere via air heat exchange to maintain the machine's thermal balance. An internal-combustion engine cooling system typically consists of the radiator, water pump, fan, upper/lower coolant hoses, water jackets, and thermostat; the radiator's role is to cool the engine's high-temperature water and the transmission's high-temperature hydraulic fluid, transferring the heat absorbed from the water jackets into the air through heat exchange .

Construction-machinery radiators come in several structural forms, which must be clarified before ordering and replacing:

  • Straight-row tube-fin copper/aluminum core radiator: Strong dust-penetration capability, bolt-type connection, strong anti-vibration ability, resistant to high-pressure flushing, highly reliable; mostly used on tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural machinery
